Abstract
Hexafluoroacetone, bromopentafluoroacetone, 1,3-dichloro-1,1,3,3-tetra fluoroacetone, and trifluoropyruvic acid methyl ester react with ethyl acrylate, acrylonitrile, acrolein, and methyl vinyl ketone in the pre sence of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2,2,2]octane with the formation of alpha-alk ylation products.
