Some general properties of the linear Boltzmann kinetic equation are u
sed to present it in the form partial derivative(t) phi=-(A) over cap

cap dagger possessing some nontrivial algebraic properties. When appli
ed to the Keilson-Storer kinetic model, this method gives an example o
f quantum (q-deformed) Lie algebra. This approach provides also a natu
ral generalization of the ''kangaroo model''.
