Jw. Grizzle, A LINEAR ALGEBRAIC FRAMEWORK FOR THE ANALYSIS OF DISCRETE-TIME NONLINEAR-SYSTEMS, SIAM journal on control and optimization, 31(4), 1993, pp. 1026-1044
A linear algebraic framework for the analysis of synthesis-type proble
ms for discrete-time nonlinear systems is introduced. This is an exten
sion of a similar tool for continuous-time systems that established im
portant connections between many algorithms associated with right-inve
rtibility, left-invertibility and dynamic decoupling, as well as betwe
en these algorithms and an approach based upon differential algebra. A
similar payoff is seen to be possible in the discrete-time setting.
