Abstract
A technique to evaluate particle-to-liquid mass transfer coefficients in multi-phase systems is described. Its application to a mass transfe r study in a fixed bed of fine particles is presented. The general mag nitude of the dimensionless mass transfer coefficients is much higher than this predicted from the known theoretical or empirical equations.
