Abstract
Propagation of tunable pulses of 0.7 ps in the ir around 5 mum is inve stigated in the case of small intensity and a moderately short sample. Coherent pulse reshaping is observed and exploited to measure the dep hasing time of the CD3-stretching vibration v1 of liquid and solid CD3 I in the temperature range 296-180 K.
