A new method with MHD electrode (MHDE) to analyze the electrochemical
reaction under the magnetic field is applied to the copper reduction.
The Tafel plots obtained at the magnetic field up to 13T show that the
re is no change in the slopes but drastic decrease of the current dens
ity in comparison with the results in the no or low magnetic field.
