Abstract
Mixed, componentwise, and structured condition numbers for continuous maps in finite-dimensional spaces are introduced. For differentiable m aps, convenient formulas for the estimation of such condition numbers are given and illustrated on the example of Toeplitz matrices. Applica tions to Vandermonde matrices are also presented.
