Abstract
Workplace air measurements are presented for PBDDs and PBDFs. These me asurements were taken during extruder production and injection molding of a PBTP-polymer blended with glass fibre, Sb2O3, and tetrabromobisp henol A carbonate oligomer. The extruder granulate and the molded test articles were also analyzed. The sampling trains, technique and plans , as well as the preparation, clean up and determination methods are p resented. No 2,3,7,8-substituted PBDDs and PBDFs could be detected. Th e values monitored for the other isomers (tetra- to hexabromo-compound s) were in the region of 30 to 260 pg/m3.
