Abstract
The movement of pesticides methyl parathion, lindane and atrazine in t wo successive soil layers of 0-10 and 10-20 cm depth has been simulate d by using the relevant equation for the first and second vessel of a continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) cascade model. Constants whic h account for the total rates of disappearance of pesticide molecules from the soil due to the physical (rainfall) as well as the chemical, biochemical and photochemical action, have been calculated.
