Ta. Albanis et Pj. Pomonis, SIMULATION OF PESTICIDE MOVEMENT IN SUCCESSIVE SOIL LAYERS BY USING ACONTINUOUSLY STIRRED-TANK REACTOR (CSTR) CASCADE MODEL, Toxicological and environmental chemistry, 38(1-2), 1993, pp. 109-117
The movement of pesticides methyl parathion, lindane and atrazine in t
wo successive soil layers of 0-10 and 10-20 cm depth has been simulate
d by using the relevant equation for the first and second vessel of a
continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) cascade model. Constants whic
h account for the total rates of disappearance of pesticide molecules
from the soil due to the physical (rainfall) as well as the chemical,
biochemical and photochemical action, have been calculated.
