Abstract
Compounds of the composition As(OC6H4NO2)3 and AsCI(OC6H4NO2)2 have, b een isolated by reacting arsenic trichloride with 4-nitrophenol in xyl ene in predetermined molar ratios. Based on elemental analyses, conduc tance, molecular weight determinations, IR and H-1 NMR 'studies, attem pts have been made to elucidate their structure.
