Abstract
The thermal decomposition of lanthanum(III) and cerium(IV) chelates of dibenzoylmethane anthranilic acid was studied by TG. The mechanism of the decomposition reactions were found to be random nucleation as est ablished from TG data. Activation energies, E, pre-exponential factors , A, entropy of activation, DELTAS, orders of reaction, n, were calcul ated from the TG curves using mechanistic and non-mechanistic integral equations.
