'Something Old' is a photograph of the organisers of the first Confere
nce on Luminescence Dosimetry held at Stanford University in 1965. 'So
mething New' is the scintillation dosimetry probe developed at the Uni
versity of Wisconsin, and now available commercially for in-phantom, i
n-vivo and stereotaxic beam applications. 'Something Basic' is an anal
ysis of the problem of determining the average dose deposited by an el
ectron beam in a flat dosemeter or foil, comparing various analytical
approaches with Monte Carlo results.
