In a previous study the glow curve of LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-100) was investig
ated under different thermal treatments. Activation energy and frequen
cy factor of the trapping centres appear to be strongly influenced by
the thermal treatment. In this study thermoluminescence emission spect
ra of LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-100) were investigated. Samples were submitted to
a pre-irradiation annealing procedure of 1 h at 673 K followed by a q
uick cool and a tow temperature anneal at 353 K. The duration of the l
ow temperature anneal was varied from 0 to 10 h. The readout heating r
ate was varied from 0.1 to 6.0 K.s-1. Doses were kept low (5 Gy) to el
iminate possible effects of supralinearity. The emission spectra were
analysed according to the Franck-Condon model. Two emission bands with
peak energies of 3.0 eV and 2.5 eV were found. No shifts in the peak
energies as functions of the ageing time were observed.
