Brazilian fluorite-based dosimetric pellets were X irradiated at -170-
degrees-C to record simultaneously TL and TSEE glow curves at a heatin
g rate of 1-degrees-C per 6 s. A close relationship between TL and TSE
E was observed for all the peaks from -170 to 400-degrees-C. The effec
t of high dose and high exposure rate on dosimetric pellets was studie
d by irradiating them with a 21 MeV electron beam from a linear accele
rator. TL due to NaCl used as agglutinant arises for exposures equival
ent to 2.58 kC.kg-1 in the form of a sharp glow peak at 225-degrees-C,
when CaF2 glow peaks are saturated or decreasing due to radiation dam
age. Emission spectra of dosimetric pellets were obtained for three TL
peaks in the range RT to 350-degrees-C. They are different from peak
to peak, indicating that some trapping centres are spatially associate
d with recombination centres.
