The structure of the thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve displayed by C
aSO4:Dv was investigated. Experimental data, obtained at 1-degrees-C.s
-1, from pellets irradiated with increasing doses (0.1 to 3 Gy), show
no displacement of any apparent peak to lower temperatures. This sugge
sts the overall glow curve to be composed of elementary peaks of first
order kinetics. The glow curves were analysed using special software.
It was verified that at least 10 elementary peaks of first kinetics o
rder, at 128, 143, 170, 198, 222, 248, 274, 306, 359 and 387-degrees-C
, are necessary to describe the data obtained in the range between 120
and 400-degrees-C. Between 0.1 and 3 Gy, TL elementary peaks at 198,
222 and 248-degrees-C exhibit linear growth as a function of the irrad
iation dose, while the higher temperature peaks seem to be supralinear
.
