Abstract
In order to understand better the origin of the TL UV emission in CaSO 4:Dy several factors have beens studied such as the influence of the p re-annealing temperature, the Dy concentration and the effect of the d ose, on two compounds, one commercially available and the other synthe sised in the laboratory. A UV induced TL phototransfer is observed bet ween 20 and 400-degrees-C for the former. Application to high temperat ure dosimetry of CaSO4:Dy is discussed.
