Abstract
A commercially available flat RPL glass covered by a radiator foil is proposed as a combined gamma/fast neutron dosemeter. Detection of indi vidual recoil proton tracks is achieved by scanning the glass with a f ocused laser beam and counting the areas of more intense RPL emission. The RPL signal from single recoil tracks is calculated from track str ucture considerations. The experimental set-up is described, experimen tal results from fast neutron irradiations are presented.
