The photon energy dependence of LiF:Mg,Cu,P (produced in Poland) as co
mpared to LiF:Mg,Ti, TLD-700 and CaF2:Mn was measured using X rays and
Co-60 and Cs-137 gamma ray radiation in two Secondary Standard Dosime
tric Laboratories. The reproducibility of the response of all dosimetr
ic systems was also studied at the primary beam of a diagnostic X ray
unit. LiF:Mg,Ti and TLD-700 have been used to measure patient doses du
ring chest organ examinations in diagnostic radiology of children to a
nalyse the dose estimations in radiation fields that were not well def
ined.
