Abstract
An anomalously narrow TL glow peak and a DSC peak due to release of st ored energy were investigated in crystalline NaCl after intense electr on irradiation around room temperature. A numerical calculation of the glow peak shape was carried out using rate equations with activation energies perturbed by releasing stored energy in order to explain the anomaly. A good fit of the calculated curve with the observed one reve als that the releasing of stored energy may induce strong effects on t he TL process in NaCl irradiated with a high dose of electrons.
