This paper deduces and expounds the general equations of a twelve-angl
ed polygonal yield criterion, and it application to pressure vessels.
We consider an open-ended cylinder made of ideal plastic material and
deduce two practical integral formulas using the MN yield line and the
MN plus MH yield lines. Thus far the calculation of an open-ended cyl
inder autofrettage is solved overall.
