Magnetic and structural properties of orthorhombic CeRhGe and NdRhGe (
TiNiSi-type crystal structure) were studied by magnetometric and neutr
on diffraction methods. Both title compounds order antiferromagnetical
ly below 10 K and 14 K respectively. The magnetic structure of the CeR
hGe compound is collinear (C mode), whereas that of NdRhGe is describe
d by the wavevector k = (1/2,0,1/2). Magnetic moments of 0.9(2) mu(B)
and 3.4(1) mu(B) localized on Ce and Nd ions respectively, are aligned
along the b-axis. The determined magnetic structures are confirmed by
the symmetry analysis.
