Abstract
In this paper new void fraction sensors and their characteristics are presented. The signal part of the sensor is a volume with a highly uni form electric field within it. Applicable fluids include cryogens, wat er, liquefied natural gas and oil. The sensors are also able to identi fy mineral particles in such media. Modification of the sensor for mea surement of the moisture content of components for the porcelain indus try is demonstrated.
