J. Talpe et A. Avendano, SPLIT SHIELD FOR CORRECTION OF RADIATION ERRORS IN STEADY-STATE THERMAL-CONDUCTIVITY MEASUREMENTS, Cryogenics, 33(8), 1993, pp. 833-835
An axial heat flow, steady state method for thermal conductivity measu
rements above 80 K on poor conductors is described. A split shield (on
e part held at the sink temperature and the other kept at the hot-end
temperature) is shown to be successful for the correction of radiation
errors. Measurements on poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) are reported
.
