Abstract
Xe-129 NMR has been used to study the pore structure of several commer cial silicas. They have been shown to possess micropores of 5-10 angst rom size. Micropores of different type appear not to be connected dire ctly. A model is suggested explaining the experimental dependences of chemical shifts on temperature and pressure.
