We present results of (CO)-C-12 (J = 1-0) mapping of NGC 3310, which i
s a merger candidate with both a mildly active galactic nucleus and in
tense circumnuclear star-forming regions. The observations have been m
ade with the Nobeyama Millimeter-wave Array. The synthesized beam size
is 6.''3 x 6.''1 half-power beam width which corresponds to 500 pc X
480 pc at the distance 16.3 Mpc. The molecular gas shows clumpy distri
bution and is associated with the inner spiral arms. No CO emission, h
owever, has been detected in the nuclear region. The total H-2 Mass of
the molecular gas is 2.7 X 10(8) M.. Combining our results with other
data, we discuss the properties of molecular clouds and the star-form
ing history around the nucleus of NGC 3310.
