M. Sternberg et V. Gobin, LOW-FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC COUPLING ACROSS LOADED APERTURES WITH JOINTS, Annales des telecommunications, 48(1-2), 1993, pp. 56-70
The diffraction of an electromagnetic wave across an aperture which is
bounded by joints of uniform or non-uniform resistance, is studied wi
th the aid of a numerical code based on the Method of Moments. For a j
oint of uniform resistance, the results obtained are in good agreement
with the analytical results produced by the Casey model. To our knowl
edge, no model exists for joints in which resistance is not evenly dis
tributed. In this case, the results obtained using the numerical code
demonstrate that the attenuation of the equivalent dipole decreases un
til, beyond a certain frequency, it reaches a constant value. This is
in contrast to the case of the uniform joint where the dipolar attenua
tion behaves as a first-order low-pass filter
