Abstract
A long (miroseconds) and shorter (approximately 1 mus) decay channel a re resolved in the time evolution of very high Rydberg states of large aromatic molecules. A simple kinetic analysis is presented and applie d to the very detailed results available for tetracene. It is conclude d that under our experimental conditions the time evolution is due to intramolecular processes. The various possible decay channels are disc ussed.
