This paper considers the problem of the robustness of boundary feedbac
k controls for a von Karman plate with respect to a small parameter ga
mma. This parameter enters the problem through a term representing rot
ational inertia for the plate and is assumed to be quite small (i.e. p
roportional to the plate's thickness). This paper proves that the expo
nential decay rates produced for the energy of the total system (with
gamma 5 not-equal 0) are preserved as we pass with a limit on gamma --
> 0+.
