Abstract
Wavelength dependence of the relative cross section has been determine d for the photoinhibition of oscillation in the starch-free and starch -added Briggs-Rauscher systems. In both cases, the primary light absor ber was identified as iodine molecule, whereas starch-iodine complex w as found to be inert as to the primary photochemical process.
