Abstract
Starting with (R)-1,2-epoxyalkanes, -alkyloxy)-2-[4-(3-fluoroalkyl)-ph eynl]pyrimidines and -5-(3-fluoroalkyl)-2-(4-alkyloxyphenyl)pyrimidine s were synthesized and shown to be good chiral dopants for achieving f ast response of ferroelectric liquid crystals mixtures.
