Abstract
We present a case of sudden maternal death occurring during the ambula tory treatment of preterm labor in a twin pregnancy. The ultimate caus e of death was cardiac arrhythmia, the origin of which was probably mu ltifactorial. The patient was being treated with the use of a subcutan eous terbutaline sulfate infusion pump.
