Abstract
Five pregnant women whose pregnancies were complicated only by essenti al hypertension had significantly elevated platelet cytosolic calcium levels as compared with those of their normotensive counterparts. Ther e seems to be an association between platelet cytosolic calcium level and arterial blood pressure that has previously been described in both nonpregnant and preeclamptic women.
