B. Patsner, TREATMENT OF VAGINAL DYSPLASIA WITH LOOP EXCISION - REPORT OF 5 CASES, American journal of obstetrics and gynecology, 169(1), 1993, pp. 179-180
Five patients with vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia were treated with
loop electrosurgical excision procedure on abnormal tissue under gene
ral anesthesia; there was no intraoperative or postoperative morbidity
. Surgery was performed rapidly and with no blood loss. Pathologic spe
cimens were adequate in all cases; one unsuspected invasive vagina can
cer was found. Further study of this technique seems warranted.
