Abstract
A comparative discussion on the aggregation properties of gangliosides is presented. It is shown that, thanks to the steric packing features of gangliosides, significative considerations can be made on the prim ary and secondary structure of their headgroup, starting from their co operative behaviour, supporting NMR direct observations.
