Abstract
Diagrammatic valence bond calculations are performed on finite size ex tended Hubbard rings with alternating on-site or on-bond energies. In the adiabatic approximation we then draw the phase diagram of the half -filled Hubbard chain in the presence of both site-diagonal and bond-d iagonal electron-phonon coupling.
