Experimental studies of excess hole carrier mobilities in carbazole mo
dified polysiloxanes reveal a complex variation with electric field an
d temperature. For a specific material, the data may be successfully i
nterpreted by applying either a modified Poole-Frenkel or disorder-lim
ited hopping analysis. Model parameters derived from the hopping forma
lism display greater consistency however when comparison is made for p
olymers possessing different backbone lengths.
