The electrical and optical studies of Cr3+ doped chlorophosphate and p
hosphate glasses have been carried out at low doping concentrations of
Cr3+. The d.c. conductivity in the temperature range (343-503K) has b
een studied for Cr3+ doped glasses (doping concentrations are: 0. 1, 0
.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 mol %). The observed absorption bands in the regi
on 35 have been assigned to different transitions assuming an octahedr
al symmetry.
