Abstract
Trichogramma females clearly aggregate their infestations in adjacent host eggs, but significant variations occur among individuals. The tra it is influenced by external factors, the age of females and the avail ability of hosts. Using isofemale fines analysis, the mother-daughter regression method, and artificial selection experiments we have demons trated that individual variations have a genetic basis. The variations among populations may reveal adaptive behavioural differenciations of populations in response to local variations in host abundance and div ersity.
