Abstract
The miliolites of Saurashtra and Kachchh are impure carbonates of mari ne origin that range in age from approximately 30 to approximately 235 kyr and have implications to neotectonism and sea level changes. The clay mineralogy of their detrital fractions has bearing on the weather ing intensity of the region and source of the clays during the late Qu aternary.
