Abstract
Nucleophilic vinylic substitutions of (Z)-(beta-(phenylsulfonyl)alkeny l)iodonium tetrafluoroborates with sodium benzenesulfinate afford (Z)- 1,2-bis(phenylsulfonyl)alkenes with retention of stereochemistry in go od yields.
