Abstract
Prenatal cellular therapy is a potential approach to a wide range of c ongenital diseases. Ln this article, prenatal hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is presented as a paradigm for cellular therapy in gen eral. The rationale, biology, and clinical results of this developing field are presented, as well as a recently successful treatment of a f etus with X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency.
