Measurements have been recently published of the spatial variation of
hadron and low-energy neutron fluence and of absorbed dose in the casc
ades induced in iron and lead calorimeter structures irradiated by 200
and 24 GeV/c hadron beams. These experiments have been simulated usin
g the FLUKA Monte Carlo shower code which now includes the emission of
nuclear de-excitation products and the transport of low-energy neutro
ns. In most cases the results agree with the measured data to better t
han 20%.
