Abstract
We discuss different aspects of one-soliton and multisoliton dynamics governed by the lattice equation ipsi(n) + (psi(n-1) + psi(n+1))(1 + \ psi(n)\2)-2gamma(t)npsi(n) = 0. We propose reduction of this equation, drastically simplifying its treatment by means of the inverse scatter ing technique.
