Abstract
The effect of shear How on the miscibility behaviour of polymer blends has been investigated for three model systems. Shear has been applied by confining a polymer sample between two parallel glass plates, the bottom one remaining stationary while the top one rotates at a constan t angular speed. The effect of flow has been investigated as a functio n of temperature. composition, shear rate and molecular weight. Blend miscibility was followed by light scattering and by differential scann ing calorimetry.
