Abstract
The performance of 58 inch Pall rings and 125) Mellapak to remove CO2 from water was determined in a 150 mm diameter column packed to a dept h of 940 min. Liquid rales were varied from 500 to 2000 l/h at varying air flowrates. The performance of both packings was found to be simil ar. Optimum L/G rates of 25 to 30 achieved CO2 removal as high as 95%.
