Ps. Ramesh et Mh. Lean, STABILITY OF THE MULTIPLE RECIPROCITY METHOD FOR TRANSIENT HEAT-CONDUCTION, Communications in numerical methods in engineering, 9(7), 1993, pp. 629-634
The multiple reciprocity method is based on using higher-order fundame
ntal solutions to eliminate domain integrals encountered in transient
boundary integral formulations. The paper considers the numerical stab
ility of this approach through an eigenvalue decomposition of the syst
em matrix. We demonstrate that the multiple reciprocity method for tra
nsient heat conduction is stable only for appropriately chosen time st
eps.
