The authors will consider four processes which take place at the gas-m
etal surface and will check them by measurement. In order to understan
d the correlations, it is essential to find out how the hydrogen is in
corporated in the metal. For this study, an alloy developed by Daimler
-Benz and iron-titanium has been used. A pressure of about 2 bar was a
pplied in the investigations. The results obtained show that the relat
ions given for the sorption isotherms are not applicable to the DB all
oy, in other words, there is no sorption according to Henry and no dis
sociation according to Sievert, and there is no combination of both.
