Pj. Leonard et D. Rodger, COMPARISON OF METHODS FOR MODELING JUMPS IN CONDUCTIVITY USING MAGNETIC VECTOR POTENTIAL BASED FORMULATIONS, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(2), 1997, pp. 1295-1298
This paper compares finite element formulations for modelling eddy cur
rent problems with jumps in conductivity, We study schemes which repre
sent the eddy current regions using nodal or edge based magnetic vecto
r potentials, The use of all additional electric scalar potential, V,
in the eddy current regions is discussed. The nodal A scheme is shown
to produce misleading results at low frequencies whilst the AV and edg
e A schemes are acceptable.
