Ag. Kladas et Ja. Tegopoulos, 3D EDDY CURRENTS MODELING BY MEANS OF A PARTICULAR REDUCED SCALAR POTENTIAL TECHNIQUE, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(2), 1997, pp. 1350-1353
The paper uses a particular reduced scaler potential technique enablin
g 3D eddy currents modelling in cases where the currents are developed
in well defined paths (such as shading rings, cages etc). This method
involves a scaler potential in the whole solution domain and a single
component vector quantity in the conducting parts. Experimental verif
ication is performed by comparing computed and measured forces develop
ed in a contactor consisted of an E-shape electromagnet with shading r
ings.
