Pharmacokinetics of sulpiride enantiomers after intravenous administra
tion of (+/-)-, (+)-, and (-)-sulpiride was examined in humans and rat
s. Pharmacokinetic profiles were similar in (+)- and (-)-enantiomers a
fter intravenous administration of (+/-)-sulpiride. Metabolic inversio
n at a chiral centre was not observed after intravenous administration
of each enantiomer in rats.
